Accenture buys 420-person customer experience firm Experity
Brazil-based IT services firm Experity has been acquired by Accenture. The deal will see Experity’s team of approximately 420 people join Accenture Interactive.
Founded in 2003, Experity offers consulting, implementation, support and other related services for leading cloud-based platforms including Adobe, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce and SAP. The Sao Paulo headquartered company specialises in the customer experience lifecycle.
“Experity will solidify and scale our market capabilities in driving experience-led transformation,” said Cristiano Dencker, Accenture Interactive Lead for Latin America. “Experity bring strong leadership and expertise with key ecosystem partners, which helps us continue to deliver exemplary services in commerce, marketing, content and data for clients in Latin America.”
For Accenture, the deal is the firm’s third in Brazil this year, following the bolt-ons of cybersecurity consultancy Real Protect and industrial system integrator Pollux. Terms of the Experity transaction have not been disclosed.
The move comes at a time of strong growth in Brazil’s e-commerce spending, a trend that is pushing brands to continuously improve their commerce experience.
This is where Accenture comes in. The firm’s consultants help retailers develop strategies and optimize operations, while Accenture Interactive provides design, creative and technology expertise.
“Consumers across all industries expect personalized and frictionless digital experiences. With the addition of Experity, we will continue to enhance our ability to help our clients grow in ways that are critical to their long-term success,” said Flaviano Faleiro, Accenture Interactive’s president for Growth Markets, which includes Latin America.
Daniel Huallem, one of the founders of Experity, commented, “Joining forces with Accenture will give us a wider canvas to deliver the transformation that our customers have come to expect in terms of personalized and intelligent experiences anywhere, anytime.”
