Accenture has acquired Brazilian creative agency Soko, adding a team of around 300 staff to its Droga5 subsidiary.

Founded in 2015, Soko is one of Brazil’s leading creative and advertising agencies, both in terms of size (300 staff) and awards under its belt – these include international recognitions gained at The Effies and the Cannes Lions Festival.

São Paulo-based Soko helps brands with services including brand storytelling, audience engagement, consumer research, creative capabilities, digital, and advertising analytics.

Following closing of the deal, Soko will join Droga5 in São Paulo, which opened its doors in 2022. Droga5 in turn is part of Accenture Song, the global creative technology wing of Accenture.

“Soko already lives Droga5’s values – they are a creatively-led, strategically-driven, humanity-obsessed agency with massive ambition,” said David Droga, CEO at Accenture Song. “I’m confident that as a part of Droga5, and paired with Accenture Song’s creative and technology prowess, the Soko team will further elevate our impact and influence on our clients’ businesses in Brazil and beyond.”

Founded in 2006, Droga5 has further hubs in New York (headquarters), London, Dublin, and Tokyo. Accenture Song meanwhile has offices all around the world.

“The integration of Soko into Droga5 gives Accenture Song the opportunity to enhance the brand storytelling approach for our clients, tapping into Brazil’s creative culture and diverse ecosystem,” said Eco Moliterno, chief creative officer for Latin America at Accenture Song. “We couldn't be more excited about the shared ambition to deliver exceptional results for client’s businesses in Brazil.”

The deal adds yet another chapter to Accenture’s long run of deals in Brazil, including four in 2023.

Accenture Song’s list of recent deals worldwide includes Work & Co, Unlimited, Mindcurv, GemSeek, The Lumery, Jixie, Rabbit’s Tale, ConcentricLife, Fiftyfive5, The Stable and Romp.
