Tata Consultancy Services plans to double team in Londrina
Global IT services company Tata Consultancy Services has announced plans to double its team in Londrina, adding to its already large presence in the Brazilian market.
India-headquartered Tata Consultancy Services has been operating in Brazil for over two decades, with current operations in Londrina, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The company works for clients in multiple sectors, including banking, insurance, mining, retail, and telecommunications.
Present in Londrina since 2018, Tata Consultancy Services already employs around 1,700 people in the city. The aim is to grow that number to over 3,500 in the coming five years.
In a statement, Bruno Rocha, Country Head of Tata Consultancy Services in Brazil, said that the company is launching a new delivery center in Londrina that will see the creation of more than 1,600 added job opportunities over the next five years.
The new centralized campus will bring the workforce in in Londrina under one roof, creating a vibrant hub for collaboration and innovation. The delivery center will specialize in key areas such as business transformation, artificial intelligence, and technology operations, offering a comprehensive suite of IT services to clients in Brazil and around the world.
“The new delivery center in Londrina is a testament to our ongoing commitment to Brazil and our confidence in local talent. We are looking to double the number of staff in key areas such as cybersecurity, cloud, technology, artificial intelligence, and automation, reflecting our dedication to innovation and excellence in technology services,” said Rocha.
Globally, Tata Consultancy Services (which is part of Tata Group, India's largest conglomerate) has over 600,000 people in 55 countries. Brazil is its largest market in Latin America.
Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior, Governor of the State of Paraná, said that the state is proud to see a global technology leader such as Tata Consultancy Services invest in its region. “This announcement by TCS is so important to us, because it involves a strategic area for the development of our state.”
Based in Southern Brazil, Londrina has a population of around 600,000. The city is around 369 km (229 miles) away from Curitiba, the state capital of Paraná.
