ERM appoints Paulo Santos and Felipe Deppe in Brazil
Global sustainability-focused consulting firm ERM has made two senior appointments in Brazil.
Paulo Santos, who has been leading ERM in Brazil for the past five years, has been appointed as Chief of Operations for the Latin America region. Stepping into his shoes as Managing Partner for Brazil is Felipe Deppe, a partner and company veteran who has been with ERM for over two decades.
The merry-go-round at the top comes on the back of strong growth for ERM in Brazil and Latin America, where the firm now has 500 and 900 staff respectively.
Commenting on his promotion, Santos said he is committed to replicating the success he achieved in Brazil in other parts of the continent.
“Developing a business alongside professionals who seek excellence and working collaboratively reflects the success of our operation over the past five years. Replicating this approach in the other operations we have in Latin America will enhance our growth and further consolidate us in this market.”
Deppe meanwhile said he is committed to build on Santos’ legacy and continue the growth path. “ERM is prepared for the next stage of growth in Brazil, building on a very solid client portfolio, good growth opportunity in specific sectors, and with a great team.”
In 2023, ERM accelerated its growth in the Brazilian market with the acquisition of NINT. The London-headquartered firm has since rebanded.
Carlos Pereyra, Regional CEO for Latin America at ERM, said that the region constitutes an integral part of the company’s growth ambition for the coming years. “We aim to reach 1,200 employees in Latin America by the first quarter of 2027, while maintaining our unwavering goal of generating positive and sustainable impact in the market.”
