Slalom plans to build 500-strong team in new Technology hub in Mexico

Global business and technology consulting company Slalom has opened a Global Technology Center in Mexico.

The office in Mexico becomes the firm’s latest technology delivery center, and will offer Slalom’s consulting teams and clients around the world with expertise in product engineering, cloud (across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud), data & analytics, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and more.

Brian Turner, Executive President of the Americas at Slalom, said that the new hub in Mexico will enable the firm to expand its ‘Allshore’ model, which combines client-facing teams with offshore professionals to offer clients “customized delivery solutions that optimize speed, cost, and quality simultaneously.”

“Allshore allows companies to reach their goals more quickly and successfully by using talent from around the globe.” 

In Mexico, Slalom plans to hire more than 500 professionals through the next year, with a focus on technology engineers, data analysts, software architects, data experts, and AI specialists. To grow the local team, the company has hired Jose Rancano, an experienced professional with over two decades of experience in consulting, having previously led teams at McKinsey & Company and Accenture.

Globally, Slalom has nearly 12,000 consultants across 10 countries. The firm most recently opened offices in Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, and Japan.
