German consultancy firm MHP launches new office in Mexico
MHP, an international consulting firm, has launched a new office in Mexico – its first in Latin America.
In a statement, MHP said that the establishment of its new base in Guadalajara underlines the company’s long-term commitment to the Latin American market, and is part of its strategy to have a presence in major hubs around the world.
Headquartered in Germany, MHP is a consulting firm specialized in digital transformation, renowned for its expertise in CIO advisory, intelligent process automation, SAP, and cloud. The firm also provides services such project management and change management. MHP has over 5,000 staff working from 20 offices in now 8 countries, with Mexico its second base in the Americas alongside Atlanta.
“The establishment of MHP in Mexico represents a big step in strengthening our ability to provide efficient support to customers to meet their needs around the world,” said Marc Zimmermann, CFO of MHP.
Notably, the new location in Guadalajara will involve MHP taking over the existing team of Porsche Consulting in Mexico. Both MHP and Porsche Consulting are subsidiaries of Porsche, the iconic German car brand. “Thanks to the expertise of our local team, we are already well positioned in Mexico and the region,” said Stefan Widmer, who leads the crossing team and has been appointed as CEO of MHP’s Mexican arm.
Alongside serving the domestic market, MHP aims to position its new Guadalajara hub as a talent base for its global organization, stated COO Markus Wambach. “We no longer are able to find the know-how that we need for projects and innovative technologies exclusively in Germany and Europe. It is therefore essential for us to find new employees globally and grow our team in Guadalajara over the next few years.”
From an offshore services perspective, the Mexican team will focus on SAP technologies, providing both development expertise and managed services.
