McKinsey & Company launches Forward Learning Program in Latin America
After empowering over 500,000 participants worldwide, McKinsey & Company has brought its Forward Learning Program to Latin America.
The Forward Learning Program is an online learning journey designed to equip people with the skills needed in today’s evolving job market – adaptability, digital fluency, communication, problem-solving, and more.
After a successful launch in 2021 in the Middle East and Africa, the Forward Learning Program has rapidly expanded to over 60 countries across the Middle East, Africa, North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
“The need for continuous upskilling has never been more urgent,” said Ozgur Tanrikulu, senior partner at McKinsey & Company and one of the program’s founders. “Demand for STEM and healthcare professionals is rising, while many routine roles are declining. A McKinsey report highlights that up to 12 million occupational transitions will be necessary in Europe and the United States by 2030.”
“The Forward Learning Program helps learners develop the skills and growth mindset to adapt to this shifting landscape.”
Latin America
With its launch in Latin America, the Forward Learning Program is now available in Latin American Spanish as well as English.
The 10-week learning program is free and designed to equip individuals at different stages of their careers – from career starters to job changers – with skills to succeed in the future of work.
The program equips learners with practical workplace skills they can apply immediately. Participants will learn to turn business problems into opportunities by using structured and creative thinking, communicate in a clear and impactful way that drives action, adapt and build emotional awareness for teamwork and independent work, build strong relationships while maintaining well-being at work, and develop a digital toolkit to navigate the modern digital world.
Participants of the Forward learning journey can expect to develop new ways of thinking, expand their skill set, and grow their confidence. The program is designed as an interactive learning journey, combining digital courses, virtual-learning events, assignments, and reflection exercises, requiring about 2 hours a week for 10 weeks.
At the end of the program, participants will receive a McKinsey.org Forward digital badge and join an exclusive global network of life-long learners. Those who complete the Core Skills level will also receive a certificate of completion along with their personalized badge, which can be shared across digital platforms.
To qualify for the Latin America edition, individuals must currently reside in a country in Latin America, be employed, self-employed, or between jobs with prior work experience, have less than five years of total work experience, and hold at least a high school education or equivalent. A good command of English or Latin American Spanish is also required.
