A.T. Kearney to hold university roadshow throughout São Paulo state in Brazil

The global management consulting giant A.T. Kearney will hold a series of event throughout the state of São Paulo this month. The firm aims to attract fresh talent and will offer university students internship opportunities in both management consulting and analytics.

A.T. Kearney is one of the world’s largest management consulting firms. The US-headquartered firm has offices in over 40 countries and specialises in strategic, analytical and operational issues – with over 90 years of experience and approximately 3,500 professionals around the globe including across three offices in Latin America. 

The firm extended its presence into Latin America in 1980 in Mexico and created a permanent office in Mexico City in 1994. After that, the consulting firm set its sights on São Paulo, Brazil and a has more recently opened in Bogotá in 2013, solidifying the firm’s presence throughout the region. The A.T. Kearney roadshow will attempt to draw top talent to work on projects throughout the region.

The firm has opened up the selection process for students throughout the state of São Paulo and will offer out internships in both management consulting and analytics. For the management consulting internship, the firm has specified that candidates must be graduating from their studies in either December 2019 or the following July, 2020.

The analytical internship will be held across the summer and will see those prospective candidates complete their course by mid-2021. According to A.T. Kearney management in Brazil, the firm does not discriminate across courses and encourages candidates from a broad array of disciplines to apply. “Candidates can take part in any course,” said senior recruitment coordinator for A.T. Kearney Brazil, Loren Bassan. 

However, for the analytics internship, Bassan said that those applying should have an in depth knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies including big data, machine learning/artificial intelligence, as well as programming languages such as Python and/or R.

As part of A.T Kearney’s best-in-practice philosophy, the selection process will have no cap on numbers. Having no set number of vacancies will help promote the consulting firm attract the best talent on the market. “The purpose of the process is precisely to identify and bring to our team talents who have the profile of AT Kearney,” says Strongren. 

The roadshow will take place throughout the month of August and will visit some of the São Paulo state’s most respected universities. Among them are Fundação Getúlio Vargas on the 13th, Unicamp (14th), Aeronautics Technology Institute or ITA (15th), Insper (17th), Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (21st), School of Economics, Business and Accounting of the University of São Paulo (21st) and the São Carlos School of Engineering from the University of São Paulo on the 22nd of August.
