Llorente & Cuenca name Juan José Tirado as Senior Director in Peru
Llorente & Cuenca, the Madrid-headquartered consulting firm have appointed Juan José Tirado as Senior Director of consumer engagement operations in Peru.
After a string of success at the Stevie Awards earlier this month – where the firm walked away with their pockets full of trophies – Llorente & Cuenca are continuing their Americas-focused expansion with the recent appointment.
The addition, according to the firm, reaffirms Llorente & Cuenca’s commitment to offer consulting services that contributes to the businesses and reputation of their clients.
"This incorporation reinforces our ability to provide value for our clients in Consumer Engagement projects and continues to improve the first line of our office," said Luis Miguel Peña, Partner and Managing Director of Llorente & Cuenca in Peru.
The firm’s recent success at the Stevies as well as at this week’s PR-focused SABRE Latin America Awards is significant due to the nature of Llorente & Cuenca’s operations. Spanning public relations, communications strategy and management consulting, the firm has combined three traditionally stand alone industries.
With what was originally accounting firms showing stronger growth in advisory than finance, and the big firms moving into law, marketing and digital, the playing field is becoming a grey zone of specialisations and ‘holistic offerings’. Llorente & Cuenca’s specific brand of consulting has found a large market in an increasingly digitally-orientated Latin America and the recent awards show that localising operations can rival even the biggest of firms.
Juan José Tirado’s appointment brings with it over 25 years worth of experience in the marketing and advertising sector. He has worked with many of the region’s biggest names including Publicis, Latina Communications Group, Carat and Latin Brands. He has also served as Jury of the EFFIE award for the development of campaigns with clients of the most represented brands in the Peruvian market.
Prior to joining the Llorente & Cuenca team, Tirado was focused on his work as a professor at the Peruvian Advertising Institute. In addition, he served as General Manager of LatinBrands, CEO of Neu Perú and vice president of business for Mayo Draft FCB.
He will continue his position on the board of the Peruvian Association of Advertising Agencies, as well as Director of start-up incubator Ynnovadores and as a professor of Advertising Sciences at the Peruvian Institute of Advertising.
Llorente & Cuenca’s Latin network spans the entire Americas. With offices in 11 countries and partner firms in a further nine, the firm is certainly a formidable force in the region. The recent announcement in combination with the firm bringing in Julieta Suárez as Senior Director of the Americas based out of Miami highlights their drive for Latin expansion.
