BrazilLlorente & Cuenca boost senior management in Ecuador
Communications, public relations and management consulting firm Llorente & Cuenca have appointed Juan Rivadeneira Frisch as Senior Director of Public Affairs for its operations in Ecuador.
The newly appointed Juan Rivadeneira joins the Llorente & Cuenca team after a ten-year stint at the political risk consultancy Prófitas in Quito. Rivadeneira has over 15 years of experience across economics, politics and public affairs, and according to the firm will strengthen Llorente & Cuenca’s position in Ecuador.
During his time with Prófitas, Rivadeneira rose to the position of General Manager, where he led a team providing strategic and corporate policy advice. Prior to his decade as as political risk consultant, he completed a masters at the George Washington University, also working as a research assistant at the university’s Graduate School of Political Management.
Rivadeneira has more than 10 years of experience as a strategy and corporate communication consultant, having also worked as a public opinion researcher for presidential and local campaigns. In 2008, he was a member of the National Constituent Assembly and also worked as a researcher at the Observatory of Civil-Military Relations/Democracy, Security and Defense.
“In the context of the country, the companies that operate and those that wish to operate in Ecuador require a strategic, objective and complete vision of the different public actors, especially the National Government,” said Rivadeneira. “There are many opportunities to take advantage of and risks to mitigate, for the private sector to be a protagonist in an unstable economic and political environment.”
According to the consulting firm, the incorporation of Rivadeneira will provide its clients with a profound understanding of local Ecuadorian politics in the context of a relatively new government in the country. In more general terms, he will bring to the stage an expertise in the field of public policy and the relationship between governments and the private sector across the continent.

Llorente & Cuenca has been scaling up its operations in Latin America recently with multiple senior figure appointments including Julieta Suárez as Senior Director in the firm’s Miami office and Juan José Tirado as Senior Director of consumer engagement in Peru. Early last month, the consulting firm also established an advisory board in Argentina which together with recent appointments plays into a long line of Americas focused moves.
