Aon acquires long-standing Uruguayan partner NGS Seguros
Global professional services firm Aon has acquired NGS Seguros, one of the leading risk insurance consultancies in the Uruguayan market.
The deal builds on a long-standing relationship between the two companies – NGS Seguros has operated as Aon’s exclusive correspondent in Uruguay for the last 25 years, offering a wide range of risk solutions to clients in the insurance market.
Franco Di Lucca, Head of the South Cone at Aon, said the full acquisition of the consulting firm will enhance Aon’s footprint in Uruguay and more broadly Latin America, while enabling the two firms to take their synergies to the next level.
“We are pleased to welcome the NGS Seguros team to Aon. We share a long history of working together and together remain committed to helping our clients make better, more-informed decisions.”
Effective immediately, NGS Seguros will rebrand as Aon, with all 50 staff making the cross. NGS Seguros will become part of Aon’s Risk division.
Luis Puig, the leader of NGS Seguros, has been appointed Head of Aon’s operations in Uruguay. He said: “Since 1871, NGS Seguros has been key to the Uruguayan insurance market, and its name has been synonymous with security and trust. Joining Aon and leveraging the firm’s global presence will take us to the next level in terms the solutions we can offer for our clients, as well as bring great development opportunities for our teams.”
