Deloitte rapidly expands Recife team in Porto Digital to 600 people

One year after opening its new hub in Porto Digital, Deloitte has grown its team there by more than 50%, reaching a total of 600 employees.

Opened in the summer of 2024, Deloitte’s office in Porto Digital – one of Brazil’s leading technology and innovation parks – began with a team of around 400. The Recife office brings together professionals from across Deloitte’s practices, including audit, assurance, tax, financial advisory, risk management, consulting, and technology. It also houses Deloitte’s second Technology Center in Brazil.

In its first year in Porto Digital, Deloitte has undertaken an extensive recruitment drive, increasing the number of professionals at Porto Digital to 600. “The expansion of our team in Recife reflects the growing importance of the city and the Northeast region in Deloitte’s national strategy,” said Edson Cedraz, lead partner of Deloitte’s offices in the Northeast region and Brasília.

To accommodate this growth, Deloitte has expanded its Porto Digital office, adding a new space on the third floor of its current building. “The expanded space supports our team’s growth and ensures that our people have a modern environment designed to continue delivering excellence to our clients,” Cedraz added.

Recife has long been a strategic hub for Deloitte. The firm first established a presence in the city in 1917, at the time its second office in Brazil. In addition to Recife, Deloitte maintains a regional presence with offices in Salvador and Fortaleza – the latter of which was also recently modernized.

Across Brazil, Deloitte operates 18 offices and employs 7,000 people, making it one of the country’s largest accounting and advisory firms.
