BrazilFirms in Chile and Paraguay join RSM's international network
Global accountancy and advisory network RSM has acquired and established a member firm in Latin America, expanding its coverage for international middle market businesses across the region.
In Chile, the firm formerly known as AUREN Auditores y Consultores has joined its ranks, rebranded as RSM Chile. Based in Santiago, RSM Chile specialises in audit and assurance, tax and legal, advisory and business process outsourcing (BPO) services, serving clients across a wide range of industries.
With the backing of RSM, the local practice aims to expand its geographic coverage through the launch of new offices across four major Chilean cities: Antofagasta, Concepción, Puerto Montt, and Viña del Mar.
Meanwhile, in Paraguay, RSM has launched a new practice in-house with the creation of RSM Paraguay, a move “in response to growing client demand” said Eileen Turkot, RSM’s Regional Leader for Latin America. The new unit is headed by experienced leaders in the Paraguay market, and recruitment for new professionals is underway.
“In addition to an increase in investment opportunities into the region, we have seen a high demand from companies looking to better manage their existing operations due to a rapidly evolving tax environment and individual country responses to Covid-19,” she said.
Turkot, a near ten-year RSM veteran added that the firm is also landing more in work in pandemic-response areas such as e-commerce business models, supply chain and financial management. “The pandemic has seen an acceleration several trends, bringing opportunities for RSM to help companies through that transition.”
