Antea adds new members in Brazil and the Dominican Republic

Antea, one of the world’s largest accounting and advisory associations, has expanded its footprint in Latin America through new alliances in Brazil and the Dominican Republic.

In Brazil, Belo Horizonte-based Verissimo, Moreira & Simas Advogados (VMS) has become a member of Antea. With a team of nearly 100 professionals, VMS is one of the leading law firms in Brazil, delivering expert and high-quality legal services for over 15 years.

The firm has a strong focus on corporate law, particularly in areas such as corporate restructuring, tax planning, and mergers and acquisitions; as well as providing comprehensive litigation and advisory services in tax, civil, and labor law.

Ricardo Moreira, partner at VMS, said that the affiliation with Antea marks a “strategic and institutional advancement” for the firm, opening new avenues for exchanging insights, expanding practices areas, and enhancing the value offered to both national and international clients.

Earlier this year, Antea also welcomed a law firm in the Dominican Republic to its ranks. Alburquerque Abogados is a firm from Santo Domingo with over 40 years of experience. The company specializes in corporate and commercial law, labor law, and litigation, predominantly serving an international client base, focusing on the US, Mexico, Central America, and Spain.

“By joining Antea, we are able to enhance our global reach while contributing valuable regional expertise to the alliance,” said Jose Manuel Alburquerque Prieto, Managing Director of Alburquerque Abogados. “We look forward to seeing the firm strengthen connections, foster collaboration, and continue delivering legal services worldwide.”

With a presence in over 70 countries, Antea ranks among the 15 largest accounting and advisory associations worldwide.
