GGI welcomes firms in Brazil and the Dominican Republic

Geneva Group International (GGI) has expanded its presence in Latin America with the admission of two new member firms into its network.

In the Dominican Republic, Salas, Piantini & Asociados has joined GGI’s footprint. The Santo Domingo-based professional services firm specialises in accounting, internal auditing, tax services, risk & compliance and finance consultancy. The company works for a range of mid-sized and large clients, with names such as Banco Confisa, Banco BHD Leon, Banco Santa Cruz, GAM Capital and Pioneer on the firm’s roster of clients. The firm is led by managing partner José Salas.

Meanwhile in Brazil, Geneva Group International added Contajul Contabilidade to its partner ranks. Founded in 1981, Contajul Contabilidade has extensive experience in financial statements, audits, tax planning and legal consulting. The firm is according to data on Brazil’s accounting and financial consulting space the fifth largest player in the Minas Gerais region and in particular the metropolitan area of Belo Horizonte, which it serves from its offices in Contagem and Belo Horizonte.

The Brazilian professional services firm is led by company veteran Alexandre Eduardo Ribeiro. GGI’s Brazilian expansion comes shortly after one if its global rivals, HLB, significantly bolstered its presence in the country with the addition of consulting firm Pryor Consulting Solutions and the local M&A arm of counterpart PKF.
